As part of the ongoing 80th anniversary celebrations, Wellcome is reconnecting with its heritage by reviving the distinctive hand-drawn style once used across our price posters. The district manager Lo Kwok-hung, who has been with Wellcome for 40 years, hand-drew countless posters before the era of printed ones – a style that shaped how Wellcome spoke to customers in its early days. Wellcome is delighted to bring back the legendary Low Low Price poster which extracted the essence from the hand-drawn style.

In collaboration with a local illustrator No Paper Studio, Wellcome recreated nostalgic supermarket scenes and city landmarks with intricate stroke. The nostalgic designs are now featured at three special stores: Cambridge Court, the oldest store serving customers since 1965; Causeway Bay, the only 24-hour location; and Tai Wai, a rare two-storey store with its iconic wide façade – each features retro storefronts inspired by Wellcome’s stories.

It is a tribute to the legacy Wellcome has built as a neighbourhood supermarket – and a reminder that Wellcome is always here, serving everyday moments.
