Sustainability and Nutrition Needs in Modern Retail
As expectations around sustainability and nutrition continue to evolve, retailers are exploring ways to offer healthier food choices while reducing environmental impact in everyday retail settings.
Integrating Sustainability into Store Design
7 Eleven Hong Kong’s new concept store in Causeway Bay brings together sustainable features into the store’s design, demonstrating how circular solutions can be applied in high traffic retail environments. Eco friendly furniture made from 14,876 recycled wooden chopsticks is used in the store, helping to reduce waste and avoid approximately 724 kgCO₂e in emissions.
Offering Healthier and Convenient Food Choices

At the same time, 7 Eleven Hong Kong has strengthened access to healthier food through the launch of its light and healthy range, offering around 100 SKUs. The range includes ready to eat products such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, ready meals, as well as high protein snacks and drinks, supporting customers in making more balanced food choices on the go.
Through this concept store, 7 Eleven Hong Kong demonstrates how sustainable design and healthier food offerings can be integrated into everyday convenience retail, supporting both environmental responsibility and community wellbeing in an urban context.
