As 7-Eleven Hong Kong marks 45 years in the city, the brand has run close to 100 collectible programmes since 2004, creating lasting memories for generations of Hongkongers. Most recently, the 7-Eleven × New Balance Mini Sneaker Puzzle collectible programme captured the city's attention – and on 26 May, 7-Eleven officially announced its first-ever charity run, the 7-Eleven HK Community Run, with full support from New Balance. Together, the two brands are bringing healthy living and sports culture into local communities, uniting street runners across all 18 Hong Kong districts for a good cause. Part of the proceeds will go to Pei Ho Counterparts, a local social enterprise founded by Chan Cheuk-ming (Ming Gor), providing meals and support for those in need.

The 7-Eleven HK Community Run will tour all 18 Hong Kong districts, hosting 18 separate charity runs starting 6 June. Over 45 years, 7-Eleven has woven itself into everyday life across every corner of Hong Kong – and this event brings that spirit to life. True to the brand's "Your Neighbourhood Store" promise, each run takes place right in the heart of a familiar community. Designated 7-Eleven stores along each route will serve as exclusive pit stops for runners, who can redeem a 7-SELECT Light Range after completing the course – a reminder that 7-Eleven is always there when you need it. Each run is led by a professional coach, with routes specially designed at 4.5km – a distance that reflects the brand's 45 years in Hong Kong. The first run starts at Happy Valley, the site of 7-Eleven Hong Kong's very first store – where the brand's story began 45 years ago, and where our commitment to being "Always Here, Made for More!" comes full circle.

The press conference drew an enthusiastic crowd. The event offered a first look at the full programme lineup, with a star-studded turnout of celebrity supporters including Candy Lo, Kolor frontman Sammy So and JFRT – Just For Run Team (formed by Neo Yau and the well-known Hong Kong YouTube channel JFFT), who joined the starting ceremony to mark this milestone moment together.

Where Sport Meets Street Culture – Supporting Pei Ho Counterparts

Part of the proceeds from the 7-Eleven HK Community Run will go to Pei Ho Counterparts, a long-time 7-Eleven community partner and social enterprise founded by Ming Gor. At the press conference, Ming Gor showed up in full New Balance kit – a side of him few people get to see, and one that got the crowd going.

Every kilometre run puts a hot meal on someone's table – cooked by Ming Gor himself. The 7-Eleven HK Community Run turns runners' passion into community care, one district at a time. As participants weave through the streets and neighbourhoods of all 18 districts, they'll feel the warmth of the local community firsthand, while giving back in a meaningful way.

7-Eleven Hong Kong & Macau Managing Director Patrick Lui said: "7-Eleven has been part of Hong Kong life for 45 years – growing up alongside generations of Hongkongers and becoming part of their daily routine. With the 7-Eleven HK Community Run, we're taking that community spirit deeper into all 18 districts, channelling the energy of runners into warm meals for those in need through Pei Ho Counterparts. With the full support of New Balance and the incredible response from runners across Hong Kong, we hope to bring everyone together – Always Here, Made for More!"

7-Eleven HK Community Run – Premium Race Pack, Fully Supported by New Balance

To help every participant hit the course in style, 7-Eleven has teamed up with New Balance to put together a professional race pack. For a registration fee of HK$980, participants receive a pack worth over HK$1,700, including a range of limited-edition items. 7-Eleven also invited GRS Creative Director Kenji Wong to design 18 district-exclusive embroidered badges for the event – iron-on designs that let participants collect a memento from each district they run through.

7-Eleven HK Community Run Race Pack includes:

  • A pair of New Balance running shoes (retail value HK$1,399)
  • A New Balance sports top (retail value HK$359)
  • A 7-Eleven × New Balance limited-edition Foldable Sports Bag
  • A 7-Eleven HK Community Run limited-edition buff
  • A 7-Eleven HK Community Run limited-edition embroidered badge: designed by GrowthRing & Supply Creative Director Kenji Wong. Each district has its own exclusive design inspired by the character of that neighbourhood. Iron-on and highly collectible.

Each district run is capped at 20 participants, ensuring every runner receives close guidance from a professional coach in a safe and enjoyable group setting. For full event details and registration, visit the official 7-Eleven HK Community Run website.
