As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, and building on the successful launch of the “Breakfast Buddies” Community Programme in partnership with the charitable organisation Foodlink Foundation in 2025, Wellcome is further strengthening its community outreach this year by bringing the initiative directly into schools. A series of engaging and educational nutrition-themed games has been specially designed for students, alongside the debut of four breakfast-themed mascots — Captain Apple, Mac Mac, Eggie and Milky.
On 26 June 2026, Wellcome’s breakfast-themed mascots visited ELCHK Hung Hom Lutheran Primary School and Man Kiu Association Primary School, engaging students through fun and interactive games while promoting the importance of healthy eating. Breakfast vouchers were also distributed on-site. The activities received positive feedback from both teachers and students. Looking ahead, Wellcome plans to extend the outreach programme to more schools across Hong Kong to foster healthy eating habits through engaging and enjoyable learning experiences.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged communities, Wellcome has been providing assistance to students in need. Since the launch of the “Breakfast Buddies” Community Programme in May 2025, the programme has already put more than 100,000 vouchers into the hands of children in need.
Beneficiaries can redeem nutritious breakfast items at Wellcome stores across Hong Kong, including Meadows UHT milk, MOMOKO Japanese white eggs, Gala apples, and Meadows instant or quick-cook oatmeal. Through the programme, Wellcome aims to support children’s nutritional needs and contribute to their healthy growth and development. In the future, Wellcome will continue to expand the initiative and deepen its engagement with local communities, giving more children the energy, nutrition and knowledge they need to learn, grow and thrive.
