Making low-carbon, more sustainable living part of everyday life takes collaboration. DFI Retail Group was proud to support CLP Power Hong Kong at their Non-Carbon Cooking Event, working alongside partners dedicated to the same goal.

As part of the event, the opening ceremony was officiated by Mr. Raymond Poon, Director of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department at the HKSAR Government; Ms. Lena Low, Senior Director of Customer Success and Experience at CLP Power; Mr. Sam Law, Senior Director of Power Systems at CLP Power, and Ms Erica Chan, Group Chief Legal, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer at DFI. The ceremony highlighted a shared vision for Hong Kong’s 2050 carbon neutrality goal, symbolising DFI’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with stakeholders for a more sustainable environment.

The event reflected DFI’s mission to embedding sustainability into everyday customer experiences. Through our Own Brand range including Meadows and Yu Pin King, DFI highlighted responsibly sourced ingredients, showing that sustainable choices can be accessible, affordable, and relevant.

This commitment came to life through a near non-carbon cooking competition integrating solar power generation, battery energy storage and induction cooking, alongside hands-on engagement that helped participants better understand sustainable sourcing and everyday product choices.

Beyond the event itself, DFI’s sponsorship also contributed to the wider community, supporting donation initiatives that benefitted children with special educational needs (SEN), elderly groups, residents of Light Public Housing, and underprivileged households.

As DFI continues to strengthen our Own Brand, partnerships such as this reinforce the Group’s commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable choices while building greater reach and visibility.
